The Code inspections leave no room for error and we guarantee our work will pass.One requirement is that all pickets have a maximum of 4 inches between them... The inspector typically has a 4-inch ball that he must not be able to pass through. We put our pickets on 4 inch centers which gives us a 3-1/2 inch opening. This ensures we will pass code. Putting them at a 4 inch gap may decrease the number of pickets used but does not guarantee it will pass the test.
